About Me
Once you've stopped staring at the shiny bauble on your left hand, it's time to get down to business. Wedding business.
From the moment you're engaged family, friends and even strangers on the street will ask you about the details for your big day - the date, the dress, the place, the theme. But as a newly engaged bride-to-be, how are you supposed to know about bouquets and buffets, reception cards and receiving lines? From "I will" to "I do" will help you answer all of these questions and more. So check back daily to read my vendor recommendations, planning tips and etiquette advice. And don't miss my fun bridal product picks!
I've been working in the wedding industry ever since I entered the workforce, first at Modern Bride, then at Martha Stewart Weddings and now at iVillage. I've been featured as a wedding expert in a myriad of publications - Gotham magazine, Time Out New York, The New York Sun, The Philadelphia Daily News, New York Newsday, Wedding Bells magazine and The New York Daily News. And on several television shows - The TODAY Show, NBC10's 10! Show in Philadelphia, the Comcast Network's Your Morning, WCBS-NY Evening News and CNN's Headline News. Most recently, I've been the Bridal Expert on the iVillage Love & Sex Message Board Ask the Bridal Expert.
During my own 20-month engagement I made it a point to meet with dozens of vendors, read every book and attend every bridal event. I wanted to be confident in the choices I made for my wedding in 2003 - and it was featured in Martha Stewart Weddings the following year! Now I'm here to help you be confident in your choices. I'm here to guide you through your engagement, the big day and your honeymoon without a hitch.
I'm looking forward to hearing about all of your weddings, and encourage you to make comments regarding these posts and create your own wedding blog on iVillage Connect where you can share your planning details - pictures, videos and thoughts - with your bridal party and fellow brides.
There's a lot to do from the moment you say "I will" 'til the day you say "I do," and I can't wait to enjoy the journey along with you.
