Royal Watcher

I just read in the news that Prince William, who just turned 25, can now marry without his grandmother's (the Queen's) consent. (He also inherited a lot of money from his mother's estate.)

I have to say that I was quite sad that Prince William broke up with long-term girlfriend Kate Middleton. I was really hoping for a grand royal wedding. It's been quite some time since the public was treated to one. And I mean an over the top wedding like Diana & Charles or Prince Rainier & Grace Kelly. The gown options, decor ideas and the cake...the media would be speculating on every possible option for the couple and so would we.

Think of all the inspiration that non-royal brides, like us, would have at our finger tips! (OK - we're all princesses on our wedding day, right?)

I remember telling a bridal consultant that I wanted a train as long as Princess Diana's, and I brought the baker pictures of Fergie's cake.

I came across notebooks - which are great for carrying with you while you're planning - with images of iconic brides on them - Princess Grace, Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor (her first wedding). They're in pretty pastels that slip easily into your bag.

Though the company is based in the UK they do sell to stores in the States, so feel free to e-mail them and ask them for the store closest to you, or an online retailer that carries the notebooks.
