Getting Dressed

Take your mom, sister, a bridesmaid or your maid of honor to a few of your dress fittings so she can learn not only how to get you dressed, but also practice getting you dressed. By having someone prepared, you’ll save time getting ready and have one less thing to worry about on your wedding day.
The same advice goes for your bustle. Have the salon show one of your friends or relatives how to bustle your train so you can get right out on the dance floor.
You may want to ask your bridal salon if someone you can hire to help you get dressed the day of the wedding. The seamstress that did your gown alterations may be able to come to your home, or wedding location, to dress you. While this may not be in your budget, it may be worth the expense.

You may also consider tapping a girlfriend or relative to be your "personal assistant" for the day. Moms, sisters and bridesmaids all have other tasks (greeting guests, taking photos) that keep them busy. Your "assistant" can be the one in charge of helping you dress, taking off your veil after the ceremony, keeping an eye on your hair and makeup at the reception and even making sure you eat dinner.
