A Hard Lesson You Don't Want to Learn

A man in Britain had a great idea for how to propose to his girlfriend: He was going to pop the question and then she would pop a helium-filled balloon with the $12,000 engagement he bought inside it.  Definitely an original idea, but unfortunately it did not go as planned.

As the soon-to-be-groom left the shop with the balloon a gust of wind blew the balloon right out of his hand and began to float away.  After chasing the balloon on foot and then in his car, he finally decided he wouldn't be able to reach it.

When he told his girlfriend the story she got very mad and refuses to speak to him until he replaces the ring.

This gentleman is now hoping that maybe someone will find the ring and return it.

Now, if he would have gotten insurance as soon as he bought the ring, he wouldn't be in such a pickle, because he would just get the money back and buy a new one.  Saving $12,000 probably took him a few months and she may have to wait a few more before he can afford to buy her a new ring.

What do you think?  Is she right in giving him the silent treatment?  Or should she be more understanding?

She sounds like a witch. If I were the guy, I would seriously reconsider proposing to her once he CAN get another ring!!! Sheesh...poor guy has been through enough, don't you think?? :o(

I completely agree with you.

Wow, what ever happened to standing beside your man??

If I were the dude, I would propose with a fake ring and tell the rude girlfriend that she can have the real one when she finds it! Poor guy! Maybe losing the ring was a sign of something else he should be getting rid of.

It I were that groom I'd think twice about marrying someone who gets mad because I had an accident with the ring. Heather Mills threw her engagement ring out of the window and then made Paul McCartney pay people to find it... And look how they turned out!LOL
